Park Meadows is a residential area in the north quadrant of the city running from 18 Avenue and 23 Street north and east to 28 Street north, with 26 Ave north being the northern boundary. This community is between downtown Lethbridge and Uplands sub division. It is abundant with parks, schools, outdoor sports fields, green spaces, and shopping. There is a retirement village very nearby and the Park Meadows Mall, located at the corner of 18 Avenue and 23 Street north, has most services and shopping for normal everyday needs. Park Meadows Elementary school is located at the intersection of Robin Road and Meadowlark Boulevard and is located in the “bird” area of the neighborhood where the streets are very descriptively named. Living on Pheasant Road or Quail Place must suit lots of home owners, because this is an area of the north side where there isn’t a lot of buying and selling activity happening on a regular basis. Most of the homes are mature and well kept. The “bird” area seems to be a place where people want to stay!
Heading east from the corner of 23 Street and 18 Avenue you will find another descriptively named area depicting the “flower” neighborhood. This quiet neighborhood seems to be well liked also since there aren’t normally real estate signs seen on the lawns. I guess living on Honeysuckle Road or Primrose Place might be just what feels right for the owners here! Most of the homes in this mature community are moderately priced.
Starting from the south side of Lethbridge the main artery is Mayor Magrath Drive which turns into 23 Street north at 5th Avenue, and continues on to the north ending at Uplands subdivision. There are many multi-family homes located along this street so it can be busy at certain times of the day, but heading north on 43 Street or Stafford Drive as alternative routes.
